Raisa (Raya) Kross

I’m Raya, a watercolour artist and illustrator.

In my studio in North Sydney I paint places, people and little moments – from Sydney streets and Australian landscapes to gardens, portraits and celebrations.

My visual language sits somewhere between contemporary illustration, naive expressionism and classical painting. I’m drawn to warm colours, imperfect lines and the quiet beauty of familiar things.

In a world that moves quickly, I hope my work gives you a reason to pause – to notice a place, remember a feeling and find a little beauty in the everyday.

From my studio in North Sydney, I’m building a growing collection of paintings and illustrations inspired by the world around me, and sharing the process along the way.
